campaign_simulation.start_date & campaign_simulation.end_date

Hello,

When I read the support page about the simulations: "Simulators are based on historical campaign performance, adjusted to account for upcoming seasonal patterns. The simulator is updated each day to reflect the last seven days."

However, when I call the simulation via the API, the  campaign_simulation.start_date and  campaign_simulation.end_date (FROM campaign_simulation) are not the last 7 days. Depending on the campaign, the dates end 2 or 3 days in the past.

Example from today:

Simulation start date  15.09.2024, or 16.09.2024
Simulation end date  21.09.2024 or  22.09.2024

How do I read the simulations for the future, i.e. for the next 7 days after the  campaign_simulation.end_date  or 7 days from today, etc.?

A bid simulation is made of simulation data and information about the time range, type of simulation data, campaign, ad group, or criterion on which it relates to. The simulation data is a sequence of simulation points that provides a histogram of the predicted performance with different bids during the given time frame. The information provided by a simulation point depends on the type of simulation data. Any bid simulation can be retrieved with a GAQL query by selecting the right simulation data field (type of simulation data) from the right resource (bid level). Also, you can refer to this API documentation link, which is regarding the 'Retrieve bid simulations'.

The delay between the current data and the end date of a simulation can vary depending on several factors such as data availability, campaign type, bid strategy, ad delivery and impressions, and other factors.
