I want to retrieve information about advertising campaigns from Google Ads. I followed the instructions to obtain the client_id, client_secret, and refresh_token and made the API call, but encountered an error with 

error_code { authorization_error: DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED } message: 'The developer token is only approved for use with test accounts. To access non-test accounts, apply for Basic or Standard access.' }. 

I applied for Basic access to the API over 2 weeks ago, but I'm still encountering this error. Have I followed the correct process? I just want to fetch information from Google Ads to create reports. Are there any other alternatives?

• You may also reach out to the product team via this link (https://support.google.com/google-ads/gethelp), as the Google Ads API mirrors the Google Ads UI. Whatever data shows on the Ads UI report, the API should pull it the same, and the product team is better equipped to provide guidance on UI-related matters.

Regards to concern, could you confirm if you are using Google Ads API? If yes, please provide more details or full context about the “to retrieve data and create reports according to my preferences” while using Google Ads API? This will help us to provide accurate recommendations on this.

Please note to get your Google Ads data via API, you may refer to our Reporting guide here: https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/reporting/example. You may also refer to our Google Ads Query Builder documentation(https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v14/overview_query_builder) to learn more about the different reports you can build a query on to obtain your data.

Additionally, if you are trying to query for data against a production level account, you would need a developer token with Basic/Standard access. Please note that your previous concern wherein you applied for Basic access for MCC ID 772-975-5225 has been forwarded to the compliance team and allow me to reiterate their response below:
