Hi,

it is possible to create an HTML5 ad with Google Web Designer, export it as ZIP File and upload it as an Image Ad in the Adwords UI.

Is it also possible to upload the ZIP file via Adwords API? I couldn't find anything on this in AdGroupAdService Reference.

Hello,

In AdWords product side (UI), the Image Ad could be created with the HTML5 using only Google Web Designer and upload it as ZIP file.

In the AdWords API, the AdGroupAdService is used to create the image Ad and you could set image field with image details( mime type, image data etc.) and the zip file is not supported.
