[OfflineUserDataJob] Getting RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED

Dear Google Ads Team,

Recently I'm using OfflineUserDataJob to upload Audience.

Usually, my Audience contains between 1m ~ 7m identifier

What I did is, I add multiple addOfflineUserDataJobOperations
(Follow the rate limit 20 identifer per 1 Operation AND 100,000 per request)

offlineUserDataJobService.addOfflineUserDataJobOperations(
addOfflineUserDataJobOperationsRequest
)

After adding multiple  addOfflineUserDataJobOperations.

 I run

offlineUserDataJobService.runOfflineUserDataJobAsync(offlineUserDatJobResourceName)

It work normally for the past 3-4 months. Until now (Nov-19), I usually get the error quota_error: RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED while addOfflineUserDataJobOperations

Can you help me check this issues.

What I have try:

   Reading through forum, some recommendation is that adding a short delay between each request. I add a 15s delay between every addOfflineUserDataJobOperations but no luck

We are also getting this error when trying to update customer lists. I have checked our GCP logs and we aren't even close to the daily API limits...

Thanks for reaching out. 

The error log in the original post indicates that the error is due to requests being made too frequently within some time interval. Can you please try implementing an exponential backoff? If you continue to face the issue, please privately reply to us and provide the complete request and response logs.

Thanks for getting back to me. 

What is classed as too frequently?  Is this a new limit that has been put in? As per the original post this has only occurred recently… Working fine the last 3-4 months.

Sorry one other thing - wouldn’t we see a different error message for rate limits? 

“Requests that are in violation of rate limits will be rejected with the error:RESOURCE_TEMPORARILY_EXHAUSTED.”
