Hi Team,
I’m working on creating campaigns through the Google Ads API.

When creating a campaign via the Google Ads UI, the system automatically assigns a default location (usually the account’s country) as the location target.

However, while using the API, we have to explicitly set the geo_target_constants for location targeting.

Is there a way to programmatically fetch the account's default country or location (i.e., the same country that’s automatically assigned in the UI)?

I’ve explored the Customer resource, but it does not expose a country_code. Only currency_code and time_zone are available.

Is there any way to retrieve this information?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

To check further and confirm whether the account's default country or location is accessible via the API or not, kindly provide the uncropped Google Ads UI screenshot where the respective country or location information is visible and the same you want to fetch via the API.

Regards,

The Google Ads API Support Team.
