cost value different in Account_Performance_Report and Keywords_Performance_Report?

I am using google adwords api and awql to create some reports in Qlikview. I wanted to show some reports based on cost at keyword text level. What I have found is that for some days the cost value differ If I use the Account performance report and keywords performance report.

Infact the Account_Performance_Report shows the accurate cost metric while the Keyword_Performance_Report shows less cost than the actual for some days

I could use the Account performance report but the problem is that I want to show the report at keywods text level and I could get this only from keywords performance report

Can someone please guide me how to get the accurate cost value from keywords_performance_report

Arif,

The keywords performance report may be condensing the display keywords into a single ID - and may only have information for search keywords.  To construct a complete picture, you may also need to look into the Display keyword performance report.

Many Thanks for the suggestion and guidance. The Display Keyword Performance Report is showing a bit more cost than what we have in our adwords account while the  Keyword Performance Report is showing a bit less than the actual one. How can I relate these two so that we only get the actual cost metric that matches the value of Account Performance Report

Arif,

The keyword performance report is a single attribution report while the display keyword performance report is multiple attribution. Please first read up on reporting concepts and the differences between single vs multiple attribution.

Totaling this is probably not the best approach.  What is the use case that you are trying to solve?  Is the account performance report not accurate?

Actually the customer wants to see the cost dashboards at keywords level and break down the cost by keywords. The only way to get to keywords level is to use a report that has the keyword text level detail. Otherwise we get accurate cost from Account Performance Report.

Arif,

You can do this but you must understand the difference between single attribution vs. multiple attribution reports - as the numbers may not always add up properly.  It may help if you limit this to search keywords, and for display - use display keywords (along w/ other display-specific reports).  The data is the same as the customer would otherwise get from the UI.

when I add up cost from display keywords performance report and keywords performance report, In most of cases, it adds up correctly giving me very good information. However, In some cases/days, we are still behind the actual cost. Is there any other field/report that I could search to get the remaining keywords cost if any to get closer to the actual cost? If we are behind the actual cost for some dates, where could I find those keywords whose cost is not being added up?

What is the corresponding report in the UI? I'm interested in seeing the UI version of the display keyword performance report, but don't see any likely candidates.
