Segment on match type

Hi, 

In the Google Ads UI I can create a report with ad groups' search impression share segmented on match type (see attached screenshot). However it seems I can't do the same with the API as there's no match type segment available for AdGroupAd Performance Reports.

Or, am I missing something?

Hi Sebastian,

On the AdWords API perspective, this is not possible in the ad group level, however, it is possible in the keyword level. For this, you may use the Keywords Performance Report and select SearchImpressionShare and KeywordMatchType. This report is implicitly segmented on AdGroupId and Id.

I know that it's possible on a keyword level but I have multiple keywords in a ad group and want the aggregated search impression share for all broad, phrase and exact keywords in the ad group. So it sounds like I'm out of luck with the API?

Yes, as there is currently no report in AdWords API that aggregates search impression segmented in the ad group level. Let me know if you have further concerns.
