Hi,

I was told there is the possibility in the AdWords v2 API to request a manual review for an ad that was disapproved - is this possible with the API?

Thanks,
Guofu

Hi,

Thank you for the suggestion.
Is there any way to trigger appeal by API?

Thanks,

Hi Nikisha,

Thank you for the reply.
if so, could you give me some explanation about this doc:
it looks that we can submit the policy exemption when we see the policy-violating error.

Hello Guofu,

The shared document explains the scenarios under which you are aware that your request to mutate objects have Google Ads policy violations. If you are aware of this scenario or you received the policy error while making the API request, you could recreate your mutate request to sent an exemption request by including the stored ignorable policy topics. In the case of disapproved ads, you need to modify your API request along with the policy exemptions to make the mutate request to create the ad again. To clarify my previous response better, there is no direct service available to make an API call to the product support for reviewing the disapproved ads. Let us know if you need additional information.

Thank you!
it is pretty clear for me.
One thing I'm still confuse is, if disapproved ads is under manual review process, do you update the review status?

Hello Guofu,

The review state is updated at product level in your Google Ads account (web interface) and API fetch this status programmatically. For your concern related to review status of disapproved ads, I would recommend reaching out to our product support expert as they are better equipped to address your concerns here. You could reach out to them via this link or via help icon on the top right corner of your Google Ads account (once logged in). Let us know if you need any additional information.
