Hi Team,

Recently, we started to see a warning coming up regarding enhanced conversions (via google ads API) on couple of accounts. But this doesn't specify that when the enhanced conversions failed, but it seemed to give the overall idea on if at least one enhanced conversion got failed till a specific date (in my case till Mar 6 2024). Is that correct?

I am trying to understand what exactly does the below warning specify, because in the last 7 days, there was no issues with enhanced conversions, but still this warning doesn't go away.

can you please help me understand the warning? and whats the last updated at column means and when this warning gets updated next time. Thank you

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API Support team.

By reviewing your concern, I understand that your enhanced conversion action "Purchase Test" is in needs attention status with warning in the Google Ads API.

Kindly note that the provided screenshot is a cropped one, in order to investigate the issue further kindly provide us with the uncropped (complete) UI screenshot of the Google Ads Account with the visibility of the customer ID so that we can assist you further.

I would recommend you to kindly refer to this help center article "Conversion Tracking: Troubleshooting conversion tracking status" to troubleshoot your conversions based on your conversion action "Purchase Test" which is in "Needs attention" status.

From the provided screenshots, we could see the following warning for the conversion action "Purchase Test".

  • Issues with your API set up are limiting enhanced conversions data received.

In order to avoid the above warning, I would recommend you to check this help center article About the enhanced conversions for web tag diagnostics report. Also, could you kindly confirm if you followed the setup prerequisites for working with an enhanced web conversion setup? If not, I would request you to follow the prerequisites before uploading enhanced web conversions.

In order to assist you further, kindly provide us with the complete updated API logs (request and response logs with request-id and request header) generated at your end.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag.

Hi Team, Thanks for the reply.

Sorry, I can't share the account details like customer ID.
But may I know what the last updated column defines in the second screenshot. Does any checks happen periodically on the Enhanced Conversions?

Hi,

Since you are uploading the enhanced conversion via the Google Ads API, to troubleshoot your issue and find out the exact reason for errors, we need complete API logs because logs (request and response logs with request-id and request header) are crucial to addressing your issue in this context, as we can find complete request and response bodies from the logs. From the API logs, we can find the service you are utilizing, and we will find error codes and error messages so that we can assist you more accurately on your issue.

Kindly note that logs will provide us with only the flow of the services and methods triggered in background when you hit the Google Ads API, and it will not produce your account sensitive and confidential information.
