Clarification on API Field and GAQL Query for App Engagement Campaign “Marketing Objective” Selection

Hi Google Ads Support Team,

Could you please confirm which Google Ads API field corresponds to the “Select a marketing objective for your app engagement campaign” option shown in the UI?
I need to know the exact field name to set this value when creating an App Engagement campaign via API.

Also, could you provide a GAQL query example to retrieve this selected “marketing objective” for an existing campaign?

Your help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Please note that the marketing objectives for an app engagement campaign via the Google Ads API are not yet available. Currently, the marketing objective can only be done manually through the Google Ads UI. I will raise a request to add this feature to be available in the Google Ads API. Note that we do not have a specific time frame for the availability of this feature at the moment. We recommend you follow our Release Notes and Blog Post to receive official announcements regarding this feature in the Google Ads API.
