Urgent: Approved Developer Token Returning “dev_token_invalid” in App Conversions & Remarketing API

Hello Google,

We’re encountering an issue with our developer token. Although we have an email from ads-api-c...@google.com confirming our token approval, we’re still seeing the following error when calling the App Conversions and Remarketing API:

Our developer token already has permissions for the App Conversions and Remarketing API. Could you please clarify why we are still receiving a dev_token_invalid error?

Additionally, is there a direct way to contact the Google Ads Compliance Team? We have been trying to resolve this issue for over three weeks and urgently need a solution. We would greatly appreciate any expedited assistance you can provide. We have already filled out the form at https://support.google.com/adspolicy/contact/contact_ads_api, but no case ID has been issued, nor has there been any follow-up.

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

The possible reason why this error was encountered due to your developer token is not set up to use the App Conversion and Remarketing API. It has not been enabled for that API. For more information refer to this link.

Consider the following options:

• Option 1: If you want to change your developer token to ONLY use the App Conversion and Remarketing API, then you can reach out to the API Compliance team and ask them to change your developer token to only use the App Conversion and Remarketing API.

Since you've already filled the form (https://support.google.com/adspolicy/contact/contact_ads_api), the Google Ads API compliance team will reach out to you with an update. Meanwhile, your patience is highly appreciated.  Additionally, we don't have contact information of the Google Ads API compliance team. The preferred communication channel to reach out to the Google Ads API compliance support team is only through this link.   

• Option 2: If you want to keep using your existing developer token for APIs such as the Google Ads API, then you need to apply for a new developer token for the App Conversion and Remarketing API. There is a check-box at https://support.google.com/adspolicy/contact/new_token_application to say that you want a new developer token for the App Conversions and Remarketing API.
