Missing campaign labels

Hi all,

we've got the following problem: some campaigns have labels attached which were created on the account level, on the MCC level (groups of accounts of the same client) and on our top MCC level (our agency). In the Ads UI all those labels can be seen to the corresponding campaign. However, when we retrieve a 'campaign' report on the account level with the campaign_labels columns, only those labels (resource names) show up which are account level labels, i.e. the labels from the MCC level and from our top MCC level just aren't listed in this column.

We can retrieve the labels from the MCC level and from our top MCC level from the 'label' report, i.e. we get label.name and label.resource_name but we can't get a connection between this label info and the campaigns they are attached to. Is ist possible at the moment to get this link via any Ads API report?

Moving forward to your concern, for us to be able to provide an accurate answer to your concern, could you please provide us the full non-cropped and non-redacted screenshot of the UI showing the data that you want to fetch in the API?

In addition, could you please provide us with the complete request and response logs with request ID and request header generated on your end when you are trying to fetch the campaign label via API?

Was there a solution to this? I have the same issue.

Just some clarification around whether the labels report is supposed to return all labels, or clarification on the details if not, would be helpful.

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to us.

For now the labels you will retrieve will be based on your customer ID. As said earlier, there is already an existing feature request to retrieve labels using the manager account for the customer account containing the label. Kindly note that I am unable to comment on any timelines for its exposure. With that being said, I would recommend you to please follow our Release Notes and Blog Post for future updates.​ ​ ​ ​

Hi,

The feature is not yet implemented in the Google Ads API. We cannot provide a scheduled timeline for the availability of this feature in the Google Ads API. With that being said, I would recommend you to follow our blog post and release notes for announcements about new API releases and features.
