API to Check App Eligibility for Pre-Registration Campaigns (App Campaign)

Hello Google Ads Support,

I am currently working with the App Campaigns API. While using the UI to set up a campaign with the subtype - App pre-registration (Android only), I receive the following error: "The app you selected is not eligible for pre-registration. Eligibility for pre-registration requires that the app turns on preregistration for at least one country on Play Console."

I would like to know if there is an API available that allows me to check whether a specific app is eligible for pre-registration before attempting to create such a campaign. This would help prevent errors during campaign setup.

With regards to your concern to check whether a specific app is eligible for pre-registration through the Google Ads API. Our team has already made a feature request for this subject for review. Please note that the request is not a guarantee if this feature will be supported in the API soon. For now, please do follow our blog post and release notes for you to be updated when it will be supported.
