How to create location group from gmb locations for creating ads

Hello, currently I'm trying to use the Google Ads API for local campaigns. The Ads account has linked a GMB location Feed, I want to know how from this feed I can create location groups and then create a campaign that targets only the location(s) in this group.

Thanks for reaching out to us.

I’m afraid that the creation of the location groups is not supported in the Google Ads API. However, I’ve created a feature request to support this. With this, I would suggest keeping an eye on this blog as we will post any relevant updates when they become supported.

With regards to targeting only the location(s) in a location group, you can use the Google Ads API to add, retrieve, and update location targeting for your campaigns instead. You may refer to this guide that describes location targeting. You may also explore affiliate location extensions for your local campaigns and you can refer to this documentation for more information.
