Transfer external JSON data in GDN banner

Hi all,

I just wanted to ask for a way to get external JSON data (feed) in GDN banner, so it would always show the current offers/prices. We tried it and got an invalid 4th party call errors trying to do a JSON call.

White labelling is not a solution for us.

Hi Lukas,

Could you confirm if you were using any of the services or report types of the AdWords API when you encountered the error? If yes, could you provide me which service or report type you used so I can better investigate?

We just wanted to implement feed data into a banner template. The problem was that we got that invalid 4th party call errors trying to do this. That means that we have a data feed with prices and dates for our services and a GDN banner template. After someone had visited a specific product on our site, we want to show him our banner template with data from our feed. Up to now, our banner is rejected in AdWords because our server is not white labelled (invalid 4th party call). But white labelling is a long procedure and we would need a big amount of impressions. 

One idea was to host the data feed on one server that is white labelled, like for example a 1&1 server.

But we are open for other ideas.

Could you provide me the complete SOAP request and response generated when you encountered the error? Additonally, could you also provide a screenshot of the task you are working on which also preferably contains a sample of the banner template you mentioned?  Please reply using Reply privately to author.

If in case you have not enabled your SOAP logging, please provide the which AdWords API client library you are using so I can direct you to the appropriate guide on how to enable your SOAP.
