Adgroup Performance API data

Hi All,

Using Adwords API, I generated a report to Ad group performance data with the dimensions and metrics listed below.

When I compared this data against the data in UI(Reports--> PredefinedReports --> Basic --> Ad Group), I do not see some of the "Ad Group" (UI) values reported in "AdGroupName"  in API data. Is this expected or should I be using a different type of report. Please suggest.

Hi Prasad,

Can you check if you are missing the records where AdGroupStatus is 'Limited by budget'. When I have generated the same and missed some data and then found out that the data where AdGroupStatus  is 'Limited by budget' is not being pulled.

If you want me to take a closer look, please provide the API report request and results and screenshots from your UI that show the missing ad groups.

You may refer to this document to know the correct mapping of AdGroup Performance Report to specific UI. If there are still ad groups that are present in this UI but missing in the API report, please provide the following details:

• Complete report definition including the date range
• Provide the list of ad groups missing in the API report
• Screenshot of the whole UI

Hi Prasad,

Thank you for the details that you have provided so far.

However, in order to more accurately map the Adgroup Performance Report to its equivalent UI report, you would need to refer to this view instead. In addition, could you also provide your customer ID?

Furthermore, could you confirm what adgroup type the highlighted ones are? I asked because the AdWords API will only return supported ad group types that are listed here.

Hi Prasad,

I see that some of the ad groups in your account come from app campaigns. Unfortunately, the Ad Group Performance Report doesn't support app campaigns. The only app campaign reports for AdWords API are the ones listed here. You will need to use Google Ads API to get app campaign data for all report types.
