Hello,

We have the following use case, in the past, we were using code to create a campaign and we populated the following fields from Campaign.DynamicSearchAdsSetting:
  • use_supplied_urls_only
  • feeds[]
When we migrated to ads our feeds transformed to assetSet. The AssetSet id cannot be put as a value for feeds but we still have the use_suplied_urls_only set to True. Because of that, I think the batch jobs are throwing the following error ->
Batch job #1 has a status "The error code is not in this version., at mutate_operations[1].campaign_operation.create.dynamic_search_ads_setting.use_supplied_urls_only" and response type "N/A"

We are also creating a CampaignAssetSetOperation that is using the new assetSet Id that was migrated.

The following question came: Did the new CampaignAssetSetOperation replace the mechanism used in the past, that populated an Campaign.DynamicSearchAdsSetting object directly on the campaign?

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API team.

With regard to your concern, you mentioned that you are getting this error message "The error code is not in this version., at mutate_operations[1].campaign_operation.create.dynamic_search_ads_setting.use_supplied_urls_only". Having said that, before we can provide further guidance, could you please provide the complete request and response logs with request ID and request header generated on your end so our team can provide guidance accordingly? If you haven't yet, logging can be enabled by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation, which you can access from this link.

You may send the requested logs directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias.

Regards,
Carmela

Hi Alin,

Thank you for your response.

I had to delete your recent response as it contained details of your logs. When sending these details and logs over to our team, you can do so via the Reply privately to author option, or directly to our (googleadsa...@google.com) alias instead.

Moving forward, it appears that we are also discussing the same issue in the Setting field create.dynamic_search_ads_setting.use_supplied_urls_only throws "The error code is not in this version., thread. I have responded to you privately and you may check out the details there.

That said, for better tracking, I would recommend that we continue our discussion on that thread instead. I have also provided some recommendations and requested for additional details. Also, in your logging configuration, you may opt to use the DEBUG log setting instead of INFO.

Our team will be on standby for your response on the above mentioned thread.

Best regards,
