Why can't I connect my test manager account with my root account then I get this error.

Error - You can't link this account because the manager and client account types aren't compatible

but when I get the developer token, it says that you can use this token with a test manage account but this error occurs when I use it.

This error occurs when I try to manually connect the root account in a test manage account. Please give me a solution.

Thanks for reaching out. You cannot link a production account with a test account. There is no need to link the test account with the production -- you can make calls against your test account using your developer token without this link.

Hi,

I work with Matt and allow me to assist you for now.

Creating campaigns under a MCC/manager (test or production) account is not possible. You will need to create campaigns under a specific client account.

That said, the clientCustomerId or customer_id you will need to specify in your API request header should belong to a client account, and not a MCC/manager account. I hope this helps.

Hello,

Here is a list of functions you can make with an MCC account. This includes creating child accounts, linking them and managing user access.

If you want to create a campaign, you will need to use a client child account. An overview can be found here.
