Dear Google Ads Support,

Currently I'm uploading 8 million users using OfflineUserDataJob. The job status is Success
but the size didn't change (still 0).
Is this a data error when I send to OfflineUserDataJob or this is a delay between the status Success and display on UI

Thanks you for viewing my request,
With regard

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

For us to investigate further issues, could you provide the complete logs from creating OfflineUserDataJob to running OfflineUserDataJob, so that my team can check better? That said, could you please provide us with the complete request and response logs with request ID generated? For the client library, logging can be enabled by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex .NET) > Logging documentation, which you can access from this link. You may provide the complete logs to our team via reply privately to author option.

Regards,

Hi Nhat,

Thank you for the details you have provided to our team.

Successfully uploaded audiences should take some time to reflect in the Google Ads UI. You may refer to this guide for more information and also to the highlighted items below :
  • It takes 6 to 48 hours for a list to be populated with members, so you'll most likely see an "In Progress" status (on the Google Ads UI) if you upload to an audience list more frequently than once every 12 hours. If your job includes a remove_all operation, it may run for up to 72 hours.
  • For privacy purposes, the user list size will show as zero until the list has at least 1,000 members. After that, the size will be rounded to the two most significant digits.
That said, could you also try and perform a request using the user_list resource and retrieve the size related attributes : You may then provide to our team the generated request and response logs, and request-id. Also, in your logging, I would recommend that you use the DEBUG log level (instead of INFO), so that the returned logs would be similar to those in the links I provided.

For the requested logs, you may provide those via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias instead.

Best regards,

Hi Nhat,

Thank you for your reply.

Our team is unfamiliar with the UI view screenshot you provided. Generally, uploaded audiences should appear in the TOOLS AND SETTINGS > Shared Library > Audience manager > Segments view of your Google Ads account.

I would also recommend that you reach out to the Google Ads Product Support team, via this link, for other possible audience views in the UI.

I feel like I am not clear about my issue. I will clarify it so that we can better understanding

I'm trying to upload around 8 million users to Google Ads using Google Ads API (OfflineUserDataJob).

On UI, I see that my upload is successful with match rate (91%~100%). It took around 1-2 hours for the OfflineUserDataJob status change from RUNNING --> SUCCESS

But I can't see the Segment size change on UI (Audience Manager tab)

I read document that is https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/remarketing/audience-types/customer-match?hl=en#customer_match_considerations .

I understand that it may take up to 24 hours, but I can't seem to find the status "In Progress" on Google Ads UI

Is the 24hours apply between status SUCCESS and update Segment size on UI?

Hi Nhat,

Thank you for the reply. Allow me to assist you here.

Its seems that you concern is more about UI. With this I would suggest to reach out to the product team via this link so that they can route this concern internally to the right team that can provide support to the issues and concerns related to updated Segment size on UI.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

It can take up to 24 hours for a list to be populated with members. So, you might see an In Progress status in the Google Ads UI if you upload to an audience list more frequently than once every 12 hours. Also, for privacy purposes, the user list size shows as zero until the list has at least 1,000 members. After that, the size is rounded to the two most significant digits. A list could appear smaller than expected when viewed in the Audience Manager from the Google Ads UI. This view shows the number of active users in the list.

Note that it’s possible that not every customer match record you uploaded is tied to an active Google account. As such, the number of records uploaded may not be equal to your Customer Match list size. I would recommend you refer to this Help Center article on 'Fix Customer Match issues with list upload, small list size, or low volume', which explain common causes and fixes for low traffic and list processing issues.

I hope this helps.
