When a SWF file is uploaded from dashboard, it creates a HTML 5 ad automatically. I was wondering if there is any way to do so from Adwords API? I could not find anything about it in the API reference. If anyone can point me to right direction, it would be really helpful. Thank you.

Hi,

As mentioned in the MediaService.upload documentation, the API currently only supports uploading images.  However, once you have uploaded a video through the UI you can reference it in a template video ad.

Hello,

Thank you for your response. I think that isn't a option for me. I have explored the parameters by creating HTML 5 ads from dashboard using SWF files. Yes Its creating Template Ad but its using TemplateId 364 which is not documented in Template Ads. As mentioned by Takeshi Hagikura TemplateId 364 is not supported by API at this moment so shall I assume that there is no way to create HTML 5 banners using API at this moment?

Regards

Shuhan

Hi Shuhan,

If the template ads generated are for ID 364 then this is not supported through the API at this time.

Thanks,
