Hello Google Adwords Team,

We got a Policy Violation Error while adding Ads operation for Headline.
We have used " Used 2009 RX 350" as Headline string.

We have came across so many queries regarding this Violation Error.but we did not get an exact answer.
In What all cases this violation error comes?

Please let us know the answer.

The error Google sends back will tell you what the offending text
was. In this case it is "RX"

Hi.

Google have list of 'policy keywords'.
This list is not publicated any where, but you can check if your
operation have been permitted by policy.
Policy for keywords can differs.
For example:
RX - pharma keyword
Chevrolet - trademark violation
etc...

Also via API you can try to ask Adwords support to accept keyword
which violated policy.

Take a look on
http://code.google.com/p/google-api-adwords-php/source/browse/trunk/examples/v201101/HandlePolicyViolationError.php

By the way - you better to create such code for keywords too.
I've developed script similar to yours and Google have a lot of such
keywords in 'Cars' category.
Also if you have a lot of amounts of data take a look on
BulkMutateService.

Hi Remya,

It is also a good idea to read through Google's Advertising policies at http://adwords.google.com/support/aw/bin/static.py?hl=en&page=guide_toc.cs&path=policy. It will give you a good idea on what qualifies as a valid ad and what doesn't, instead of relying on AdWords API behaviour alone.

Cheers,

Hello Google Adwords Team,

Is there a list of forbidden URLs that Google rejects with PolicyVoilationError? For example, when using "http://www.google.com" as a display URL for my Ads, I got PolicyVoilationError. I have gone through your policy page but didn't find anything particularly on forbidden/allowed URLs.

Thanks!
