Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to Google Ads API Forum.

Moving forward with your concern, in order for us to investigate further, can you provide us the complete API logs (request and response logs with the request-id) generated on your end when you encountered the issue? This is so we can also check on our end as well and investigate further.

For the PHP client library, logging can be enabled by following the PHP Logging guide. You can provide it via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, then send it instead on this email address googleadsa...@google.com.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

With regard to your concern, if this is more related to the PHP client library, we would suggest to continue this discussion in this github issues tracker. If you have any concerns / questions related to our Google Ads API, feel free to send those to us and our team is happy to assist you.

Moving forward, if you are encountering issues with the refresh token, we would recommend that you regenerate the said refresh token you can refer to this "OAuth Desktop and Web Application Flows" on how to set up your authentication credentials. Also, you may refer here to this "Configure a Client Library for OAuth in the Google Ads API" for the guides on how to regenerate credentials and refresh tokens.

Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Upon checking your screenshot, it appears that you are getting a DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED error. This error means that the developer token is only approved for use with test accounts. To access non-test accounts, apply for Basic or Standard access. Upon checking the CID shown in your request which is the 1012152333, it appears that the account has only a test access. With this, we would recommend applying for Basic or Standard access by referring to this guide: https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/access-levels#basic_access

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the deletion of logs, I already changed the refresh token after posting.

Problem is I am trying with test account only. Want to test first and then possibly we moved to better access

Hi,

I understand your concern and upon checking, the error that you are encountering is related to Developer Token. As mentioned earlier in this thread, "This error means that the developer token is only approved for use with test accounts. To access non-test accounts, apply for Basic or Standard access. Upon checking the CID shown in your request which is the 1012152333, it appears that the account has only a test access. In addition, I would like to inform you that I had to delete your post since complete logs were posted on the forum. For reference, you may refer to the below URL as a sample of redacted sensitive information:

URL was: https://googleads.googleapis.com/v13/customers/XXXXX/assets:mutate

I hope this helps.

Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

I'm afraid that test accounts have limitations that you can check here (https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/first-call/test-accounts#limitations). Thus, we can only recommend to upgrade your access level first by following the references below should you want to access non-test accounts features:
