Hi all,

We are trying to fetch the number of extensions/assets linked to active adgroups. We do this using this calculation:

Assets on account level + assets on campaign level + assets on adgroup level

However we are running in some issues with the BUSINESS_LOGO and the BUSINESS_NAME assets. This seems to be the only asset types that do not seem to return any data on the account level. At least, we are unable to achieve our goal of fetching this data. Considering these assets are added not to long ago within the API could it be that this is not available? Or that there are any issues. Or are we doing something wrong and can you point us in the right direction?

Thank you in advance

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

I understand that you are encountering an issue where data for the BUSINESS_LOGO and BUSINESS_NAME asset types are not being returned at the account level.

To help us investigate this further, please provide the following:

  • An uncropped screenshot of the corresponding Google Ads UI report, clearly highlighting the specific fields you are trying to retrieve.
  • The complete API logs (request and response logs with request-id and request header) for the request that failed to return the BUSINESS_LOGO and BUSINESS_NAME assets.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag.

Additionally, please review the guide on asset linkage documentation. This guide explains how specific asset types are connected to customers, campaigns, or ad groups through linkage objects. Specifically, BUSINESS_LOGO and BUSINESS_NAME assets are associated with the CustomerAsset and CampaignAsset resources. Understanding these linkages may help you identify the correct resource and supported asset types for obtaining complete asset-level performance data.
