Google Ads Reference Data - Codes and Formats Data

Hi Team,

Is there a google ads api to extract reference data for codes and format.

I was able to extract for data from geoTargetConstants using GAQL and alternatively looking for something similar.

Thanks for the quick response.

I am after loading the tsv/csv files that are available in the criterion IDs table section of the documentation automatically into big query/snowflake using the google ads api.

Kindly note that there is no API service or REST endpoint to pull said tsv/csv files automatically into a big query/snowflake in Google Ads API. However you may refer to this page for the all available reports in the Google Ads API so that you may pull the data on your end. For the provided criteria, you may use different reports as following:
 

• user_interest
• Parental_status_view
• Mobile_device_constant
• Life_event
• Language_constant
• Gender_view
• age_range_view

Also, if you are particularly interested in pulling any Google Ads UI screen data, you may provide us with a complete screenshot via reply privately to author option, so that we can provide you specific recommendations.

Thanks for the response.

To understand the data, I queried Gender_view as provided in the report section using GAQL. I could see only one attribute resource i.e. resource name  made up of  customers/{customer_id}/genderViews/{ad_group_id}~{criterion_id}.

I am expecting a view that could provide me what code 10/11/20 means.. i.e. Male/Female/Undetermined

Reports view are not giving me the details of what the ID's /codes mean.

This is Carmela from the Google Ads API team as well. Thank you for getting back to us.

Moving forward, kindly note that as per this guide, it is expected that the resource name for gender view will return as this form "customers/{customer_id}/genderViews/{ad_group_id}~{criterion_id}". Having said that, since ad_group_criterion resource is one of the attributed resources of the gender view, please try including the ad_group_criterion.gender.type field to your request to see if you will get your expected data.

In addition, I would suggest gender_view_query_builder which will help you build and validate your query.
