INVALID_BIDDING_STRATEGY_TYPE and BIDDING_STRATEGY_NOT_SUPPORTED

Dear Adwords API team

I used Adwords API version 201806.

 

- While I create a SharedBiddingStrategy type with "MAXIMIZE_CONVERSIONS". It show error "INVALID_BIDDING_STRATEGY_TYPE".

- While I create a SharedBiddingStrategy type with  "MAXIMIZE_CONVERSIONS_VALUE". It show error "BIDDING_STRATEGY_NOT_SUPPORTED".

  

 My question is : How to create SharedBiddingStrategy is "MAXIMIZE_CONVERSIONS" and "MAXIMIZE_CONVERSIONS_VALUE" ?

Hi,

The SharedBiddingStrategy is a portfolio type of strategy, this means that this should be applied only at the account level as stated in this guide. This means that, you cannot create this bidding strategy on lower levels such as the campaign level. You will need to create this first separately, and afterwards specify it as the strategy for your campaign to use and you can refer to this example as to how.

Also, the MaximizeConversionsBiddingScheme is a standard type of strategy, hence, this will need to be created through the BiddingStrategyConfiguration object. I hope this helps and feel free to write back if you require further information.
