I've managed to create a keyword plan and generate historical metrics for 10.000 words via API, with the credentials for a test account. I have the results already in my computer. However, I wanted to access this keyword plan in the Google Ads website but whenever I click on the keyword plan, I keep getting a pop up asking me to choose an account (the account I'm logged in with is a manager-account).

I have created manually in the Google Ads website at least one customer account but for some reason it never appears as an option I can select in this pop up.

The final result is that I can't access they keyword plan manually in the Google Ads website. I know I've created it because I can see it there and also because I have downloaded the historical metrics results programmatically via API.

Also, If I go to Settings/Sub account settings, I don't see any of the customer accounts I created...

What am I doing wrong if anything? Is it something to do with using a test account? It seems weird to be able to create something via API but then not be able to access it in the website...

Thank you.

Hi,

Thank you for posting your concern.

I completely understand the situation that you mentioned that you can't access the keyword plan in the UI even though it is successfully created in the API. However, based on your description that issue is more on the UI. With this, I am afraid that this is outside of our scope already. That said, I would suggest raising your concern to the Product team instead via this link as the UI related issues / concerns are within their scope.

Let me know also if you have further questions about Google Ads API and our team will be happy to provide support.
