Google Ads API upgrade from v17 to v18

Hi,

I’m currently upgrading our application from Google Ads API v17 to v18. This is my first upgrade, so I’d like to confirm whether I need to make any changes beyond updating the import namespaces to V18 and bumping the .NET client library version.

Additionally, could you please let me know the exact dotnet command(s) I should run after updating the client library to ensure the changes are applied correctly?

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API team.

Kindly note that "V18" is not the latest version. I would recommend you to upgrade to the latest version, 'v19' to benefit from new features. You may refer to the documentation on deprecation and sunset for more information regarding the specific deprecation and sunset dates for each available version. Also I would recommend you to follow this guide for the information regarding what commands to run after updating the client library.

Hi,

I wanted to upgrade GoogleAds API from v18 to v19 and seems like we're using so many feed related items like feedItem, FeedMappings in my B2B project.
As this will be a major change, i wanted to confirm is it cumpulsory that we'll have to remove all this fields from our codebase. 

And i dont see a dedicated page where it's mentioned what field should be replaced with what field.
Please can you help.

Hi Mansi,

I would suggest you refer to this document to upgrade to the latest version. Note that all feed-related entities such as Feed, FeedMapping, FeedService, AdGroupFeed, feed_placeholder_view, etc. are removed from the Google Ads API. The feeds have been deprecated for some time, replaced with assets. You should now use assets to achieve the same purpose. For more details, refer to this Migration Notes and blog post.
