Hello,
I have isolated problems with Keyword Performance Reporting from both
V2009 and V201008 that began on Feb 10. Up to Feb 9, all my clients
Remarketing Campaigns were successfully reporting data via the API.
Beginning on Feb 10th the Campaigns with remarketing data have not
been returned the previous days data, we always pull for the previous
days data to use in our data warehouse.
With EOM upon us, I hope I can unearth information that will allow me
to pull this data and successfully report to my clients
Thanks in advance,
David Kelly

V201008 problem and not date specific, sorry about that. After
further research, I am finding the date coincides with my apps
migration to V201008.

So.. when will V201008 Keyword Performance Reporting be patched?

This is a known deficiency in the V2009/2010 reporting. What I am
doing to get around the problem is to identify the remarketing
campaigns via their name (in our case we have the word "remarketing"
in all of our remarketing campaign's names), and then use the Ad
Performance report to get their data. You have to pull all of the Ad
Performance data since this is not something that you can filter on,
and then ignore any data for campaigns those name does not meet your
naming criteria.

Hopefully this will help, and hopefully the AdWords reporting will
someday include remarketing data (and in fact, ALL data).

If you have an video ads, those will also cause problems, and we're
"fixing" that problem in a similar manner. It's an admittedly risky
solution, depending on naming conventions, but at the moment there is
no other solution I have found.

Good luck,
Reed

Appreciate the feedback. Loads of programming work. When will Google
API team address this shortcoming and rectify?

Going through a more detailed examination, it only occurs for these
remarketing campaigns that have no keywords. In the past the infamous
"boomuserlist" was reported.

I'm moving on back to V13 at this time, really little else I can do
for my clients at this late hour. Sure wish the release notes would
have noted this shortcoming and I would have stayed at V13 all along.
Having said that, I do like the speed and efficiencies with the
V201008, so am keeping my fingers crossed, the Google API is patched
in a timely manner, just like they did with the micro issues.

Hi All,

The v201008 KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT only includes keywords, unlike the v13 report that would also contain other types of criteria.  There currently is no report in v201008 that returns the performance data of individual CriterionUserLists.  However, the AD, ADGROUP, CAMPAIGN, and ACCOUNT reports should all include the correct statistics for remarketing campaigns.  In some cases it's possible to segment the report by ConversionTypeName to get the stats for the conversion types associated with the user lists.

Best,

Thank you, I understand the lack of support at this time, and do not
require any additional performance data, such as CriterionUserLists as
you mentioned, "boomuserlist" works fine as a place holder. Sorry if
this was not made clear in my plead for assistance. We are simply
after the data and am perfectly happy with the place holder
"boomuserlist" when no keywords are on the campaign/adgroup for these
remarketing campaigns.

I enjoyed the V201008, since the speed, etc have been improved.
Having said that, I do need a working version that returns all data
for the campaigns, even if they are remarketing without keywords. I'd
hate to enforce a mandate to always place a keyword on a remarketing
campaign in order to manage the reporting side of the house. If I
can't measure it I can't report or control it, and having this data
left out of the report is very problematic in balancing invoices,
etc..

We are finding success in the remarketing, so we appreciate the
efforts to keep AdWords features moving forward. Just could you
please consider the backend as well. The original solution for using
the term boomuserlist when no keywords are present, would suffice and
keep everything backward compatible.

Please present these findings to the team (no keywords on a
remarketing = no data in the report), and let us know when to expect a
patch.
