Is there a way to update a customer's descriptive_name via the api?

We manage a lot of googleads customer accounts and we had a client merge with another business and now I need to rename 100s of the Customer descriptive names to match the new business (If it were only a few I could just do this manually). I have all of their customer ID's as I can see them via the hierarchy output here:

But I don't see any documentation for editing the descriptive_name field. Is it even possible via the API?

Hope you are doing fine. Thank you for raising this concern to the Google Ads API team.

Moving forward to your concern, I understand that you want to update a customer's descriptive_name. With this, kindly note that you can use the Customer service and its method CustomerService.MutateCustomer which has the update operation.
