Deleting Assets

I know how to create an asset, associate it with an asset set and disassociate it from an asset. But how how can you delete the asset itself once it is disassociated?

I use the Java SDK, but the question applies to any SDK or method to use the API.

Thank you for raising this concern to our Google Ads API support team.

I am afraid that deleting assets is not possible in Google Ads API. According to the Keypoint section of this document, the AssetService only supports create operations. Once an asset is uploaded to an advertiser's account, it cannot be changed or removed programmatically. Instead, use ad-level operations to manage the associations between individual assets and ads.
