Accessing the "Ad Suggestions" setting of an Account through the API?

Hello

I have multiple accounts running on Adwords that are currently using the enabled "Ad Suggestions" setting in the Account Settings.

I want to disable this setting and rely entirely on Ads I have written myself instead. How do I access this feature to disable it through the API? I know the CustomerService lets me access the "Auto-Tagging" setting which is on the same page on the UI as the one I want changed but it does not seem to let me turn off suggestions.

Modifying this feature is not currently supported in the AdWords API.

Hi Mike,

Is there any timeline as to when we'll be able to control the opt-out from the API?  We're controlling thousands of client accounts, manually setting to opt out is a terrible option.

I will file a feature request for this, as that does sound impractical. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on any timelines for future releases or when it may eventually be supported, if at all.

Now that this forum also cover Google Ads.v2 API. Does Ads.v2 API support this?

I only skim through CustomerService & the Customer entity but it seem there are no field for this task ...

Thanks for reaching out.  Setting the “Ad Suggestions” is not currently supported in the Google Ads API v2. You could only do this via the Google Ads UI. Please keep an eye on our blog for updates on new releases.
