Change History through API

Hi,

I understand there isn't currently a way to get adwords change history through the API. I was wondering if there are plans to make this a possibility?

Our team find it near impossible to use current functionality within the web interface for anything useful. We would really like to be capable of querying by date and user within different scopes (Account, Campaign, Ad Group).

Hi Kieran, 

You could check the CustomerSyncService and see if that will return what you are looking for. This is the closest service available in the API to change history in AdWords UI. You will be able to get Customer->Campaign->AdGroup hierarchy containing information about the objects changed at each level for the given date range. Please note that this service only returns data changed within the last 90 days. If you are interested in a sample code please check this code in Java. Samples in other languages can be found here.

We don't have a definite timeline on when the change history will be made available via the API. I will let the team know about your request. If you haven't already, please follow the Ads Developer blog for updates and announcements.
