Concurrent Modification on Ad Group Error.

Hey,

 

We have multiple services and threads that can be updating product group destination URLs at the same time. Each one is updating a different product group destination URL but sometimes the product groups are under the same Ad Group.  When doing this we get a CONCURRENT_MODIFICATION error because we are calling the AdGroupCriterionService with the same Ad Group Id but different criterion at the same time.  What is the best way to get around this error since we know that they aren’t conflicting updates?

Hi Brett,

You need to catch and retry the error after say, 30 seconds. Or, synchronize your API calls such that no two threads update the same adgroup at the same time.
