Mutate images in responsive search ad

Hello, responsive search ads support image assets (via the web UI) but I've been unable to determine how to mutate the images associated with responsive search ads via the api.

Does not mention images. 

How is image mutation accomplished for responsive search ads via the api?

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Kindly note that adding images to the responsive search ads is not supported via the Google Ads API. I would recommend you refer to the "Asset types linked to ads" documentation as it describes the types of ads which support the image assets. The responsive search ads, the only supported asset type is TextAsset. You may check this use the asset in the ad documentation to know more about asset types and their respective supported campaign types.

It sounds like you're saying RSAs don't support images, which is incorrect. You can see here that responsive search ads DO support images via the web:

Are you saying:

(A) RSAs _do_ support images but image mutation via API is _not_ supported

(B) RSAs _do not_ support images (which is false).

Hi,

Please be informed that as per this Asset types linked to ads documentation of the Google Ads API, I would like to inform you that the image assets are not supported to the Responsive search ad type in the Google Ads API. The image assets are only supported to the App ad, App engagement ad, Local ad, and Responsive display ad. These image assets are not mutable via the Google Ads API. Kindly go through the guide for more details.
