Hello!

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I'm using a 3rd party connector (make.com) to query Google Ads data into SQL server.

I'm not too familiar with the mechanics of it, but essentially I only need to input the query as per Google Ads Query Builder.

I'd like to query historical data using this method (i.e. I'd like to breakdown a campaign's total cost per day). How do I do this using just the Query Builder? I understand that this can be done via (https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/keyword-planning/generate-historical-metrics), but I do not have the time and resource to commit to this.

Any suggestion would be appreciated!

Best regards,

Orvin

Hi Orvin,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team.

Since you mentioned that you are using a 3rd party connector which is make.com to query google ads into SQL server, to be honest with you the make.com is out of our scope support. Moving forward to your concern about "historical data," historical metrics cannot generate campaign total cost per day. To learn more about this, you can visit this link. On the other hand, what we can do is filter the date by using segments.date and metrics.cost_micros to generate the campaign total cost per day. To further help you, you can make use of the Query Builder to help you construct and validate queries.

If you have additional questions that is specific to Google Ads API, feel free to send those over to our team and we would be happy to assist you further.

Best,
