How to set device targeting via Adwords API?

Hi all,

I would like to manage device targeting settings via Adwords API but I don't know which API services I shoud use for it. I read this article https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/1722028?hl=en&ref_topic=3121772 and try to change device targeting settings via web interface and than I try to get Platform CampaignCriteria via CampaignCriterionService but these changes make no sense - I always get all three types of devices (desktop, mobile and tablet) even if I selected just one of them via web interface. So what am I doing wrong?

Hi Inessa,

By default, a newly created campaign will already include all three Platforms as targets. So I can better investigate your concern, could you provide your clientCustomerId and the complete SOAP request and response of your CampaignCriterionService.get() request? You may reply to me via the Reply privately to author option.

Hi, Oleh,

Unfortunately, no. Peter from AdWords API Team answered that settings like  "Mobile app interstitial" or  "Tablet app" are not supported in AdWords API.
