I'm using the Google Ads API (v18) and querying the conversion_action resource for multiple customer clients under a manager account.
While iterating through the results, I’ve noticed that the same conversion_action.id value (738) appears across several customer client accounts. My initial assumption was that conversion_action.id would be unique within each customer client account — and up until recently, this seemed to be the case. However, that no longer appears to hold true.
So my question is:
Was my assumption incorrect? Can a single conversion_action.id be shared across multiple customer clients?
In my tests, I consistently see only that one ID (738) across all customer clients queried.
Hi,
Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.
A single conversion_action.id cannot be shared across multiple customer clients and each conversion_action.id is unique. I would suggest you refer to the help center article for more information.
