Hello Sinea,
Thank you for posting your concern to the Google Ads API support team. Unfortunately, I am afraid that it is currently not possible to retrieve an account's status or to filter out the active account in the Google Ads API / AdWords API.
There was already a feature request raised, subject for review, regarding its support. With this, we suggest keeping an eye on our blog for the announcements and updates and new releases.
