Hi there,

Quick question about non-viewable impressions.

Through the API you can fetch the viewable impressions with `metrics.active_view_impressions`.

I would then expect the calculation to get the non-viewable impressions to be `metrics.impressions` - `metrics.active_view_impressions` -> what's left over are the impressions that were not viewable.

But if I do that, the result is way too high (8.000 shown in the Google Ads UI vs 200.000 from the calculation.

So my question is: How do I get the correct amount of non-viewable impressions through the API or with a calculation?

Thank you!

Hi Tiana,

Thank you for your question.

For calculations or computations to arrive at certain value for your metrics, the Google Ads Product Support team, via this link, should be the more equipped team to provide guidance. In addition, is the "non viewable impressions" a metric that is currently available via the Google Ads UI?

I asked because there appear to be no field in the API reports' metrics documentation that allows customers to extract this information.

If this is already available via the UI, you may provide our team with the complete screenshot containing the said metric so we can then create a feature request, subject for review. You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias instead.

Best regards,

Thanks for your response! I'll ask the Product Support team then. :)

In regards to the non-viewable impressions metric being available in the UI, it is! I will send a screenshot privately.

Thank you,

Tiana
