Hi there,

I see that the updated API (v201710) allows one to apply negative criterions at the Account Level.

Let us say that I have an account with some Display campaigns and some Video campaigns. If I apply the negative criteria to the account using the CustomerNegativeCriterionService, will they be applied to BOTH my display and video campaigns?

I know that previously, I was unable to apply negative criteria to videos at all, but perhaps the account level service will allow for that now.

Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim,

As mentioned in this discussion the criteria you create using the CustomerNegativeCriterionService should apply to all the campaigns within that account including display and video campaigns. I hope this helps and let us know if you require more information.

Thanks and regards,

Hi Peter,

I have a follow-up question--apologies if the answer is obvious. If I apply the Account-level negative criteria to an account, and then later, I create several campaigns in that account, will those campaigns automatically have those negative exclusions applied?

Thanks,
-Tim

Hi Tim,

Yes, the account level negative criterion are placed within your shared library so it should be applied to all, including new campaigns. If you wish to learn more about the behavior of account level negative criteria, I would recommend that you contact the product experts in the AdWords Community Forum for further assistance.

Best regards,
