Hi Google Ads API team,

On December 5th we noticed a bit of slowness in the API after which returned back to normal after a while. However from December 5th onwards, Google Ads has NOT been attributing data properly that has been uploaded via the API. Even though API deliveries are successful, only approx. half of conversions are attributed to campaigns which naturally heavily affects ROAS campaigns.

Can you please urgently check and elaborate what is going on? When can we expect things returning to normal?

Hi Annis,

we noticed the same issue on our side across almost 100 accounts. Until yesterday afternoon, we were still seeing significant discrepancies for 5 and 6 December. Overnight, Google seems to have caught up, and the numbers now largely match again.

As a precaution, we also re-uploaded all conversions from the last seven days yesterday afternoon. That may have helped speed things up.

In any case, it’s quite clear there was an unannounced processing issue on Google’s side.

Regards
Mat

Hi Mat,

Thanks for contributing! Yes, it seems the situation is somewhat normalising, which is great. However, it's still unclear whether Google will be able to recover the historical conversions that still seem to be missing, or should those conversions be re-uploaded, as you've done. Would be nice to get some kind of official incident report on the matter and how similar issues are going to be mitigated in the future.

Br,
Anni
