AdWords Express campaign names

Hi all!

I found out the hard way that when requesting Adwords express campaign data through the AdWords API, their names are returned as follows:

name: 'AWX_002:00000000001f1253_000000'

Does anyone know a way to get the actual express campaign name out of the AdWords API?

Could you provide the SOAP request and response log output? Just click Reply privately to author in the forum when responding. Don't forget to remove the developer token in the output.

Hello,

We ask the user to provide SOAP request and response by Reply privately to author in the forum when responding because sometimes the user forgets to remove their developer token from the SOAP request logs while posting.

As per the AdWords API forum rules, avoid posting confidential information mainly developer token. Once we have the SOAP request and response logs which help us investigate the issue, we will post the response on the forum.

If I'm understanding your question correctly, you're looking for some way to find the campaigns that correspond to the promotions you created in the AdWords Express user interface, using the promotion name you entered. If that's the case, then unfortunately the answer is that there's no way to get that mapping from the AdWords API. However, you can at least detect which campaigns are Express campaigns by looking for Campaign.advertisingChannelSubType of SEARCH_EXPRESS or DISPLAY_EXPRESS.
