I'm now using a self-coded app based on Adwords API to estimate search volumes of keywords.

If I input, say, 100 keywords, I get the following output:
  • some keywords with search volume > 0,
  • some keywords with search volume = 0,
  • and some keywords are missing in the output file.
I don't like this behavior. My expected output would be:
  • some keywords with search volume > 0,
  • some keywords with search volume = 0,
  • some keywords with search volume as something like "-1", or "no data" or similar.
My main goal is that the input amount of keywords equals the output amount of keywords.

Now I migrate my app from Adwords API to Google Ads API and would like to know: what is the way to get all input keywords as an output?

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team and for your question.

So our team can better assist you, could you provide more context and details on the requests that you performed using the AdWords API? You may send to our team your complete SOAP request and response logs, with the requestId.

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias instead.

Best regards,

Hello Peter,

I attach the main PHP file of our app, so you can see how requests are done, and how responses come and are written into export file. Hope it will be enough to answer my question.

Hi Evgeniy,

Thank you for providing more details to your concern.

To check your concern, would you be able to provide instead the complete SOAP request and response logs generated on your end instead where we can see the value below?
  • some keywords with search volume > 0,
  • some keywords with search volume = 0,
  • and some keywords are missing in the output file.

Also, could you clarify if the below results can be retrieved in the UI? If yes, please provide a sample screenshot where we can see it.

some keywords with search volume > 0,
some keywords with search volume = 0,
some keywords with search volume as something like "-1", or "no data" or similar.

Furthermore, provide also a sample use case why you need to get this kind of data so that we can raise a feature request if this is not supported. However, you may note that this feature will be added to Google Ads API. With this, we strongly recommend that you migrate to the Google Ads API as soon as possible. Please note that the AdWords API is also deprecated and will be sunset on April 27, 2022.

You can provide the requested details via Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias instead.

Regards,
