Hi,

I noticed that after switching off from 'Search Network only - Dynamic Search Ads' campaign type to 'Search Network only - Standard' there is no visible difference in results returned bu API:
when DSA is turned on we are getting DynamicSearchAdsSetting as discribed in api doc
but when we are switching off DSA in adwords ui, adwords api still returns to us DynamicSearchAdsSetting which tells that DSA is turned on. Is there an other api option which can we use to discover the status of DSA for campaign ?

Hi Radosław,

The campaign subtypes are typically not visible using the API. All campaigns are treated as All feature campaigns via the API. Because of this, changing the type of a campaign in the UI is not expected to have any visible difference with the API.

Hi,

So switching from 'Search Network only - Dynamic Search Ads' to 'Search Network only - Standard' in adwords ui does not really turns off DSA ? API still tells that it it enabled.

Hi Radosław,

There is no one-to-one mapping between for campaign subtype in AdWords API and UI. You should take into account what the UI shows as far as what kind of subtype it is. Campaigns created through the API are treated as All features.

Please see this recent post for more details.

Cheers,
