Get campaign targeting's reach or weekly estimates

Hi, 

I'm currently integrating Adwords API in my website so I can publish my adwords campaigns (campaign type: display) from there, and right now I'm looking for an API to get the campaign targeting's reach or weekly estimate when I change the campaign settings such as location, language, topics, interest, demographics, placement, etc. The image (with the red border) below shows what I'm trying to achieve.

I came across the same question asked in this topic, however, the answer given was not really helpful, and I'm not able to proceed from there.

Here, I have a few questions.

1. From my understanding in the TrafficEstimatorService documentation, the data retrieved is different with the campaign targeting's reach or weekly estimate. Am i correct?

2. Is there any API available right now to perform the request that I'm looking for? If yes, can anyone lead me to the correct endpoint?

Hi Jayson, 

It is currently not possible to retrieve the Targeting reach information through AdWords API. The TrafficEstimatorService retrieves the traffic estimates for proposed or existing campaigns, ad groups. ads and keywords. They include the estimated stats for the fields mentioned in this guide.

Why this information is not available in API? Without the targeting reach information how users are going to know how many people can they reach after choosing their targeting?

The Targeting Reach setting in the UI corresponds to the estimate for the specific Targeting settings for Display Network Ad campaigns. You could consider using the Display Planner to generate ideas for display campaigns. Please note that it is currently not possible to pull the Targeting reach through the API. Currently we do not have an ETA of when or if this feature will be available. I have shared your interest with the team. Please keep an eye out on our blog for more updates.

Currently, getting the traffic estimated reach is currently not possible through AdWords API. Please continue to follow our blog to see when this feature will be supported in AdWords API.

Thank you for following up on this thread.

Please note that the AdWords API has sunset (as per this blog), you need to upgrade to the Google Ads API as soon as possible. Starting on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 requests to the AdWords API will fail at a rate of 25% until May 31, 2022, increasing to 100% thereafter.

Moving forward and regarding the reach forecasting feature of the Google Ads API, listed here are the fields you can retrieve in the GenerateReachForecastResponse. That said, could you provide our team with more details on the traffic estimated reach?

If this is currently available in the UI, you may provide our team with the screenshot so we can further validate its availability in the API.

In the event that your screenshot would contain your user / account information, you may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias instead.
