Google Ads API: returning ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED while fetching reports

Hi,

We are recently facing an issue where when we try to fetch data using new ads API for a particular account we are getting action permitted error, even for simple queries like fetching data from campaign view.
But if we try fetching the same data from AdWords API we are able to get data.

Error detail from ads API:

One strange observation is for customer reports we are able to fetch data if we don't include segments, but as soon as we include segments in the fields we start getting the same error. (Note: this observation is only for customer report)
Could you help us in resolving this issue?

We have tried both v9 and v10 but the error is same from both.

The ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED error signifies that The user does not have permission to perform this action (e.g., ADD, UPDATE, REMOVE) on the resource or call a method. For our team to better check on this, could you provide the complete request and response logs with request ID, email address used to create the API access and your refresh token? You can provide it via Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, then send it instead on this email address googleadsa...@google.com.

As an aside, please note that the AdWords API is deprecated and will be sunset on April 27, 2022. We strongly recommend that you migrate to the Google Ads API as soon as possible.
