Hi,
We've been struggling for some time with inconsistencies in our bidding strategies caused when our automated processes make a change that overrides a manual adjustment. Recently we discovered that we can use the Change Event service in the new Google Ads API to track changes made in our accounts, differentiating between the changes made in the UI and the changes made with the API. This is perfect, for instance, to avoid overriding the status of a campaign preserving the changes made by our SEM specialists in the Google Ads UI.
However, we have not been able to track the bidding changes using the Change Event service. It seems like bidding changes are not included in this service.
Do you know any way to monitor bidding changes, similar to the change history in the UI?
Regards,
Erik
Hello Erik,
Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API support. Could you please share what level of bidding adjustment are you looking for? Campaign-level adjustments are accessible using CampaignBidModifierService and Ad group-level adjustments are accessible using AdGroupBidModifierService within the Google Ads API.
Additionally, Campaign and Ad group-level bid adjustments gives you more control over the bids in Google Ads campaigns. This also provides the option to increase or decrease bids for different types of criteria.
Regards,

Hi Erik,
I'm a colleague of Jakeia. Thank you for providing more context on what you want to retrieve via API.
Can you please provide the complete request and response logs with request ID as well as some UI screenshots of the change history that you expect to retrieve via API so I can further investigate? You may send the requested information via Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias instead.
Regards,
