Just a general question - for any reason, would Google ever automatically pause an ad? i.e. move the ad_group_ad status into the paused state? Just wanted to double check.

Thanks,
Harsha

Hello Harsha,

I’m James, a member of the Google Ads API team. Thank you for raising your concern to our forum channel.

I believe that our back-end would not automatically perform any actions such as pausing ads within your Google Ads account, unless someone on your end sent an API request in order to pause a specific entity on your end. Also, you may also consider checking the automated rules and ads scripts in your account because that could be factors why the ads are being paused on your end.

With this, would you be able to provide sample screenshots of the Change History logs of the ads that have been paused? With the help of this information, we can identify what is the method used to change its status? Kindly send the requested screenshot via Reply privately to the author option.
