Summary data as Bifurcation same as UI

I am here referring to audience view at campaign level and Adgroup level.

 
I need to get same summary view with All Summary Information as it is shown in UI.

Including the 

Total: Expansion, 

Total: Other, 

Total: Display Campaigns 

Total: Search Campaigns 

etc..

Hi,

You can use the campaign.advertising_channel_type field to filter the total for following fields:

• DISPLAY
• HOTEL
• LOCAL
• MULTI_CHANNEL
• SEARCH
• SHOPPING
• SMART
• UNKNOWN
• UNSPECIFIED
• VIDEO

We are trying to pull our total Display spend for clients through the API. We are pulling the ad_group_audience_view report from the API to show the audiences that were setup and their impressions, clicks, costs, totals. But in the Google Ads UI it shows the Total Audiences metrics AS WELL AS Total Expansion totals. The final Display totals include both the Total Audience totals and the Total Expansion totals. How can we pull the Total Expansion amounts so we can report on the true Cost/Spend totals to our clients?

I am afraid that the total expansion that you've shown in the provided screenshot is currently not possible to retrieve using Google Ads API or AdWords API.

However, my colleague has already raised a feature request for this, which is currently on review.

Hi Ernie,

Thank you for confirming the status of getting the expansion totals.

As a work around for now we decided to make separate calls to the campaign or ad_group data whose totals already include the expansion amounts. This allows us to get our audience level totals and calculate the difference between the audience level totals and the campaign/ad_group level totals to identify the expansion/other totals we were missing.

We would prefer of course being able to get it from the audience data directly.
