Targeting French Department Locations through the API

Hello,

I have been working on using the Adwords Api to set up Locations for France.

It is working fine with Cities and Regions but I’m having issues with Departments.

I can work on Departments as

from https://adwords.google.com/cm/CampaignMgmt but I can’t from the API.

Here below the error I’m getting when trying to add a Location which target_type is Department

Hi Francisco,

  Those IDs don't appear to be valid.  If I change the target type to Department on our Geographical Targeting page , I do see a bunch of french departments, but I didn't find any mention of the few IDs I spotchecked.

Not sure I got your answer well !

I did collect the data from the page you mentionned and here below is one example.

I do use the Criteria ID, in this case 9040859, so set up the location through the API and I got the error message I sent previously :

Hi Francisco,

  I should have mentioned this earlier - the Department Location Type is currently only available for developers participating in our beta program.  If you are not currently a member of this program, you won't be able to work with these targets.  You can talk to your CSR or Account Manager about getting invited to this program.
